Hello! Last night I did a Live on my personal FB page, you can see it HERE.
I showed how I created this fun tag using some stencils, distress inks and a stamped image.
How to make these:
- Ink entire white cardstock tag using the distress ink oxide color of your choice. Then use a coordinating color to ink just the edges.
- Get the stencil of your choice and lay it towards the bottom left corner and use a baby wipe to tap through the stencil a few times. This will remove some of the distress ink below and will show up as the stencil image once you lift it. Repeat this on the top right corner.
- Use a bright color of distress ink and use a different stencil and choose a few areas to tap ink gently through images on stencil, in this case I did some yellow arrows. Set Tag aside to air dry.
- While the tag dries, stamp the cake image on watercolor paper using an ink that can be used with watercolors. Also stamp the sentiment towards the top right corner of the tag.
- Color your cake image, I chose to color with Zen clean markers and a water brush to blend colors with. Once you are done coloring image you can fuzzy cut.
- Adhere colored cake image using foam tape and place towards left middle of the tag. In this tag I used Topsy Cakes by Brutus Monroe.
- Add embellishments, in this case I used Doodlebug Glitter Birthday Girl Sprinkles (I have a few still available for sale over at my FB Group)
- Add 3 different coordinating ribbons and feed through punched whole, tie a knot. Use a smaller piece of ribbon to tie those ribbons together and make a bow or simply tie them with a knot if you prefer.
- The last step is to add Nuvo Crystal Glaze Clear to areas of the cake to add a glossy dimension. Allow to dry for at least 20 minutes. Now your tag is complete!
